Procrustean 强求一致的，一刀切的

来自希腊语Procrustes,传说中的劫匪，与其它土匪劫财不同，他在抓住过往路人后，把他们绑在一张长度固定的床上，超过床长的，砍掉多余身体四肢，短于床长的，强行拉长，因此引申该词义。其名字来自希腊语prokrouein,击，打，拉长，来自pro-,向前，krouein,击，打。

英文词源

Procrustean (adj.): 1846 in figurative sense, "violently making conformable to standard," from Procrustes, mythical robber of Attica who seized travelers, tied them to his bed, and either stretched their limbs or lopped of their legs to make them fit it. The name is Greek Prokroustes "one who stretches," from prokrouein "to beat out, stretch out," from pro- "before" (see pro-) + krouein "to strike."
